GenDox-WSP
(Gentamicin + Doxycycline)
GENDOX-WSP is used to treat or prevent bacterial infections in poultry. This combination is effective against gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by many susceptible bacteria, including E.coli, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. GENDOX-WSP is also effective against Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, and Rickettsia. Gentamicin is classified as an aminoglycoside antibiotic. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis within the bacteria. Gentamicin displays bacteriostatic activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Doxycycline is classified as a tetracycline antibiotic. The active ingredient works by inhibiting the first stage of protein synthesis in the bacterial cell wall. This process is not very rapid and so Doxycycline is generally used as a long-term treatment. Doxycycline shows bacteriostatic activity against many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
COMPOSITION:
GENDOX-WSP 1000 gm contains of Gentamicin 100 gm and Doxycycline 100 gm and Excipients 800 gm.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTION:
Add 750 gm of GENDOX-WSP per 1000 liter's of drinking water and continue for five to seven days, depending on the severity of the outbreak.
ADMINISTRATION:
GENDOX-WSP Water Soluble Powder is formulated for administration via drinking water. A fresh solution should be prepared each day. GENDOX-WSP is formulated for administration as the sole daily source of drinking water until consumed, followed by non-medicated water for the rest of the day, if necessary.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Withdrawal period for GENDOX-WSP is 5 to 7 days. Birds must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment. Do not use GENDOX-WSP for an animal that has a hypersensitivity to any other tetracycline or aminoglycoside and has severe hepatic or renal impairmen, has an active rumen or gut microbiome.
SAFETY:
This product must not be used in laying period. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid skin contact with the powder or solution. Wash hands and exposed skin after usage. Usage recommends as advised by a Veterinary Consultant.
